Crosswind Church Baptism story

I wrote this article for my feature writing class, but I thought it would be nice to share on here as well. So enjoy!

Dozens of children jump on the moon bounce and swing on the playground as parents visit with friends and eat. There is a buffet lined up with chicken, fruit, macaroni salad, brownies, and other homemade goodies.

The clouds are grey and there is a high percent chance of rain, but over a hundred people are still gathered in a parking lot. The Crosswind Church Picnic and Baptism is finally underway.

Teenagers play basketball, kids run up to the tables of food and steal cookies and juice boxes, and couples exchange stories at dozens of tables.

Interview with Jordan Willet

Imagine graduating high school at age 15, joining a band, and going on tour across the country.

That is exactly what Jordan Willet, bass player for the popular Christian rock band Willet did. The band Willet was formed in early 2005 by brothers Jeremy and Justin Willet, and in May 2006 Jordan was invited to join.

Since then, Willet has produced six albums, and they tour the country 270 days out of the year. The other 95 days are spent writing new material and running their non-profit organization, The Hunger Strike.

Christian Dating Interview

Dating in the 21st century can be tough, especially for Christians. We live in a world that endorses fast, physical relationships, and not focusing on communication, trust, or building a relationship that will last.

Anna Sykes, an engaged 24 year old, is a staff worker for InterVarsity, a Christian Fellowship organizations for colleges all across the nation. She has great insight on how to build a strong relationship when you have a special someone or when you are looking for a future spouse.

Anna and her fiancee, Nathan Lacy, set clear objectives and rules as soon as they started dating. Sykes said the overall tone for their physical limits was that “whoever is more conservative wins, just out of respect for one another.” The two are saving their first kiss for their wedding day.
