“Help Me Find It”- Sidewalk Prophets

I just found this song today. I was looking for a good song, and it popped up on my listener survey with 95.1. It is a perfect fit for my latest post on being patient and content while I am feeling so restless.

The lyrics are:

I don’t know where to go from here
It all used to seem so clear
I’m finding I can’t do this on my own

Downhere- “Cathedral Made Of People”

This song is exactly what my last post was about. Many people do not understand the concept about the church being the people, and not the religion or organization. I love this band. They have gorgeous music with great messages, and their lead singer sounds like Freddy Mercury.

Here are the lyrics:

If they shut down the churches,
Where would you go?
If they melted all the stained-glass windows
Replaced every sanctuary with a condo
Where would you go?
Where would you go?

“Voice of Truth”- Casting Crowns

This song is about believing God’s voice, and not the worlds. It relates to my last post about persecution. It gives examples like walking on the water and facing Goliath, and how we don’t have to fear the world and what they say, because God will protect us and not allow us to be overcome by our enemies.

Here is a nice lyric slideshow a person made to go along with the song:

Have a nice weekend everyone!

“Already There” -Casting Crowns

This song, like all of their work, is awesome. The lyrics are so true, and really resonate right now as school is coming to a close.

My favorite lyrics are:

“When I’m lost in the mystery, to you my future is a memory.”

“One day I’ll stand before you, and look back on the life I’ve lead.

I can’t wait to enjoy the view and see how all the pieces fit.”

“The Words I Would Say” – Sidewalk Prophets

I love this song. I think the lyrics are absolutely beautiful and are so true. I dedicate this song to all my friends who are seniors and are getting ready to start a new chapter of their lives.

The chorus has such strong lyrics, so I hope you take them to heart.

“So please hear these simple truths.
Be strong in the Lord and,
Never give up hope.
You’re going to do great things,
I already know!

“White Flag”- Chris Tomlin

I love this song. It was a part of Passion 2012, which is a yearly conference for college students, with this year being held in Atlanta, Ga.

The song is powerful and true, stating we surrender to God everything. My favorite lyrics are:

“The battle rages on.

A storm in tempest roar,

We cannot when this fight.

“Set Me Free” – Casting Crowns

I know it seems like my blog is turning into a Casting Crowns playlist, with this being the third song by them I have recommended. But their songs have such great lyrics because they are written for Christians about issues we deal with.

This song “Set Me Free” has such strong lyrics talking about how we need God to free us from the chains of sin, and how darkness cannot hide from him.

My favorite part of the song is:

“Morning breaks another day
Finds me crying in the rain
All alone with my demons I am
Who is this man that comes my way?

“Safe” – Phil Wickham

This is such an uplifting song with great lyrics that really explains what my last post was about. Even when you are afraid, you are not alone, and God will keep you safe in His arms.

So I leave you with the awesome lyrics to take away from it what you need. “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express” Romans 8:26.

The lyrics are:

“To the one who’s dreams are falling all apart
And all you’re left with is a tired and broken heart
I can tell by your eyes you think your on your own
but you’re not all alone

“If We Are The Body”- Casting Crowns

This song isn’t completely about my last post, but it talks about how if we say we are the body of Christ, then we should act like it. The chorus goes:

“But if we are the body
Why aren’t His arms reaching?
Why aren’t His hands healing?
Why aren’t His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren’t His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way.”

“Love On The Outside”- Willet

Here is the offical lyric video for Willet’s newest song, “Love On The Outside”

I have some friends in the video, and the track was produced by Aaron Gillespie.
